Painted Pine Cones

When you get the urge to paint, how about trying to paint on a pine cone?! I picked some up in my back yard and thought it would be fun to add some color! With simple acrylic paint and brushes the color went on very well, and I tried to think of some cute designs but ended with pink poke-a-dots. ;) The paint dried quickly and stayed vibrant and is a cute decoration for the upcoming season of Fall, happy creating!

Chocolate Chocolate Cake

If you have a loved one who loves chocolate, this is the birthday cake to make! First make a small round chocolate cake, and if wanted add in chocolate chips cookies to it too. After cooled, slice cake in half long ways (to make two mini cakes) and add a layer of chocolate frosting and mini M&Ms. Then place the top half of the cake back on, and cover the whole cake in chocolate frosting. Then take the KitKats and place around the whole outside edge of cake (I used a little less than 20). Then write the loved ones birthday age with mini Reese's and cover the rest of the space with the mini M&Ms (About a half of package was used). Then tie with ribbon to secure cake together and enjoy! :D

DIY BOHO Boots

I absolutely love boots and I had an old pair that I wanted to "chic up". All I used for this project two kinds of lace, a leather strand, a needle and thread. I started with the widest lace and measured around the boot, cutting then stitching about 4 stitches to attach the lace into the back seam of the boot. I did the same thing with the smaller lace ribbon, but I stitched the lace on the side to secure it to the wider lace. then I wrapped my leather around and tied a not in the same place I stitched the smaller ribbon, and snipped it then. Really you can do whatever you want, add more lace, feathers, buttons, chains, anything you think is cute.:)
